The Northwest has many inviting places to stay — from contemporary city hotels, beachfront resorts, country manor homes, and castles, to family-run guesthouses and bed-and-breakfast homes. The choices may not be as extensive as other parts of Ireland, but the lodgings of the Northwest are certainly worth going out of your way to experience.

Here are more than 40 of my favorite accommodation choices in the region. They are divided by county (Donegal and Sligo/Leitrim).
